We have achieved the prestigious Investors in People GOLD award

Since 1991, Investors in People has helped businesses get the best from the people they employ.  Over 14,000 organisations across 75 countries recognise that IIP accreditation says a lot about them. It tells everyone that they think their employees are important and that they are willing to invest time, resources and effort in supporting and developing them.

Q Care Ltd achieved its first Investors in People Award in 2003. Since then, at every three-year review we have maintained our accreditation.

In 2016, however, the story moved on, when we were invited to try for a bronze, silver or gold award.

As recipients of the gold award we take our place among the top seven per cent of the accredited 14,000 organisations and demonstrate our commitment to high performance through exemplary people management.

Our new Q Care Gold Q Cars celebrate our achievement and tell everyone that we take pride in caring for our people, so that they can take the very best care of our clients.

  • What is Investors in People?

    Since 1991 Investors in People has set the standard for better people management. Their internationally recognised accreditation is held by 14,000 organisations across the world. The Standard defines what it takes to lead, support and manage people well for sustainable results.

     

    Based on 25 years of leading practice, the Investors in People Standard is underpinned by a rigorous assessment methodology and a framework which reflects the very latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to outperform in any industry.

  • What is the Standard?

    Reflecting leading workplace trends, the Standard has been developed to describe the capabilities your organisation needs to succeed and highlight the small steps required to achieve excellence.

    Underpinning your journey towards accreditation, the framework focuses on 9 key indicators of organisations that consistently outperform their peers.

  • What steps have we been through to achieve this award?

    There are 4 main steps where we have been assessed;

    1. Discovery

    Assessment looks at how aligned our team are to our objectives.

     

    2. Online Assessment

    Who are the best people to consult about your business? Our employees. The Investors in People online assessment gives our employees a voice.

     

    3. Employee interviews & observation

    Combining hard assessment metrics with “softer” interview based data collection is at the heart of the IIP methodology. It is the best way to build a picture of performance.

     

    IIP identify key themes emerging from the assessment data collected and explore these through face to face employee meetings, observations and the analysis of further desk research. They gather the evidence required to recognise strengths and opportunities for improvement.

     

    The number of interviews depends on the size of our organisation and the response rate. The insights are guaranteed to shape our continuous improvement journey.

     

    4. Accreditation report & feedback

    Our IIP practitioner determined our accreditation level, benchmark performance, and provided recommendations for continuous improvement and higher accreditation. The practitioner’s professional analysis integrated data sources to give a rounded view of our organisation.

     

    Investors in People accreditation is valid for three years, and we revisit our performance against the Standard with an annual touch point.
